<p>The device determines the particle size distribution and particle density of dispersed phases in flows. In order to measure the intensity of diffused light from a particle, a measurement volume with edges between 10 um, and 5mm is limited purely optically. Illumination and observation systems are arranged at 90 deg. Optical axes of the illumination (I) and observation (II) systems are fixed by holes (2, 3) in a plane in one single base plate (1). All optical elements of both systems are are mounted adjustably in closed cylindrical tubes (5, 6, 8, 9) inserted from two sides onto the two holes (2, 3).</p> |
