Each tube length 11 is formed from a rectangle of material, the ends being folded inwards and sewn to form circumferential ribs 17 and free lengths 19 and the sides then joined to form the tube. Each tube is arranged to have one male 13 and one female 15 end, the male being formed by withdrawing the free end 19 after formation of the circumferential rib. Eyelets are formed in each circumferential rib 17 for the connection of tube lengths 11 by lacing or clipping. The longitudinal rib 24 may comprise the seam or a longitudinal fold. |
