<p>A protective helmet with supply or extraction of respiratory air consists of foam helmet components (1, 2) and the visor (4) with air conducting means, conforming to and surrounding the head of the wearer. The helmet components are pref. fitted together at overlapping joints (3) with key and keyway, while the visor is fitted in grooves (17). The visor pref. includes a connecting socket for supply of respiratory air above eye level, and an exhalation valve in its lower region. Alternatively, at the side(s) of the visor in its lower region are one or two connecting sockets for suction pipes, and at the top of it above eye level are air inlet holes (6). The helmet components can thus incorporate cheap disposable components to save costly cleaning and disinfection.</p> |
