Baking or roasting of foodstuffs is carried out in an oven with circulating heated air. Both the heater and the air circulating blower are switched by means of a controller, when the temp. has reached the set point. Pref. during a preliminary baking state, the heater only is switched on and off; then, during a succeeding stage, both the blower and the heater are switched on and off. By switching off the blower as well as the heater, rapid recooling, resulting in heat wastage, is avoided. |
