<p>The adjustable mine support can be used behind a scraper conveyor. It has a roof member which can overhang the conveyor, supported by a multi-armed linkage and an actuator piston, as in 2603953, and a floor member having two side by side beams (7). In cross section, these are U-shaped for the front portion, then form two parallel plates (6) at the rear. The interior of the U-section forms a pocket for an arm forming part of the roof support attachment system. Another arm is mounted at an angle to this arm. These are interconnected with an auxiliary piston between the two main pistons which swing the roof support.</p> |
