<p>An add-on glazing systems uses an especially shaped plastics strip which grips the edge of a glass pane (3) and acting as a hinge so that the pane can be titled for ventilation when required. The strip has a rigid part (2) attached to a U shaped rigid part (1) which grips the pane. The outer rigid part (2) is secured by wood screws (U) which are concealed by a cover strip (21). Sealing fins (4, 5) also project from the inner face. The hinging action allows the window pane to be swung back without danger of breaking. The hinge is along one edge of the pace and the other three edges carry U shaped edging strip located by removable locking screws.</p> |
