The cine camera is fitted with a fade in control to enable successive scenes to blend into each other. The timing control of the fade in scenes is controlled by the reaction of the shutter drive to a varying drive so that the illumination alters exponentially. The film is wound back and the next scene is illuminated with an increasing shutter aperture, also exponential. The system provides smooth fade in without any sudden dark patches. The fade in period is shortened so that variations in subject illumination have a min. effect. No additional timing circuits are required.
|
