PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron-based sintered alloy having no Ni, capable of conducting a hardening treatment at a cooling rate of 5 to 20°C/min. of a normal sinter furnace and having high mechanical strength with low cost.SOLUTION: There is provided an iron-based sintered alloy having a total composition consisting of, by mass ratio, Mn:0.5 to 2.0%, Mo:0.3 to 1.6%, Cu:1.5 to 5.0%, C:0.4 to 0.8% and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and exhibiting a metallic structure of a martensite phase of 30 to 95% of a matrix area excluding pores and a bainite phase of 5 to 40%.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
