The electrically heated oven houses a circulating fan (20) and has an insulation layer (10) around its cooking compartment. A heat storage construction uses aluminium members (12) based on the design of the main patent. The storage region has a main section (12) and an auxiliary section (18) below it. The auxiliary section has a lower heat output than the main section. The auxiliary section forms a flow channel supplying the main section, and has a control flap (22) mounted at its input end. This flap is operated by temp. sensor. Both main and auxiliary sections form a channel to a mixing zone (21) at the rear of the oven, in which hot air travels downwards before being directed forwards into the cooking zone.
