1491769 Picture frames O B KAPSTAD 20 Aug 1975 [12 Sept 1974] 34557/75 Heading A4X [Also in Divisions B6 E2 and G5] A holder for a sheet of paper or cardboard bearing display matter consists of a plastics or aluminium extrusion 10 of roughly U-section, one limb 14 of the U being perpendicular to the base 22, and the other limb 20 being inclined at between 50 degrees and 80 degrees to the base, their being a leaf-spring 12 trapped between the limbs 14, 20 and having a terminal edge of wall 32 slanted towards the base 22 so that it is easier to insert a display sheet between limb 14 and spring 12 than to withdraw it. Spring 12 is retained by an anchoring edge 26 entering a slot defined between a shoulder 18 and base 22. The holder may be formed as a double-U with further limbs extending from the rear face of base 22; again a flange may extend laterally from base 22 to assist wall mounting. |
