The vibratory grinding machine has a swinging ring-shaped container which accepts the workpieces and grinding body, the container having an emptying hole which can be closed by a plate in its outer wall. The vibrator exciter is arranged in the centre of the container. A closing flap (14) is pivot supported about a horizontal axis (17) and closes the emptying hole. This flap (14) has a lever arm (18) on which a hinged pair of bent arms (21, 22) engages at one end. The other end is supported on a shaft (23) fixed to the housing wall. A closing spring (25) engages on the bent arm hinge pin (25) and stretches the pair of arms (21, 22). A bearing eye of the pair of bent arms (21, 22) is supported on an eccentric bush which can be turned and fixed.
