1514419 A nail gun SOC D'APPAREILS DE SCELLEMENT DE SAINT ETIENNE 30 April 1976 [30 April 1975] 17640/76 Heading B4C In order to restore a plunger 13 towards a breech 2 of a barrel 1 of a nail gun after the firing of a cartridge 33 (see Fig. 2) the barrel 1 is slid outwardly of a casing 8 of the gun while guiding pins 40 in the casing 8 ride in grooves (41) Fig. 2 (not shown) in the barrel 1 to abut the head of the plunger 13 to keep it stationary whereby a plunger portion is returned to a firing chamber 2a in the breech 2. Simultaneously, at the end of the outward sliding of the barrel, a guide pin 48 in the casing 8 rocks a cartridge ejecting lever 45 in the breech 2 which ejects the spent cartridge 33 through a hole 50 in the casing 8 (Fig. 4). The barrel 1 is then pushed into the casing 8 to assume the firing position of Fig. 1. The cartridge receiving chamber 31 is mounted in the breech 2 transversely in relation to the direction of sliding movement of the plunger 13. |
