<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently clean water by providing biomembrane contact regions in a closed water basin and providing expanding/contracting materials which change in volume according to the volume of the water to be introduced in communication with a peripheral water basin and in connection to an aperture in a submerged state. CONSTITUTION:The water permeable biomembrane contact regions 7 which are isolated to the plural regions are provided in the closed water basin 3. In at least one region of them, the expanding/contracting materials 10 which change in volume according the volume of the water to be introduced from the peripheral water basin 2 are provided in a submerged state in connection to the aperture 11 communicated with the peripheral water basin 2. As a result, fluid energy is generated in the closed water basin 3 by the tidal forces of the peripheral region 2 and the water in the closed water basin 3 is fluidized by the fluid energy and is passed through the biomembrane contact regions 7. The contact speed of the microorganism membranes fixed in the biomembrane contact regions 7 and the water is maintained at an adequate speed. The water passing the biomembrane contact regions 7 is thus cleaned by the org. matter decomposing effect of the microorganism membranes.</p> |
