<p>A pile (2) of cellular sheets is stacked on a plate (3) which is gradually raised automatically by a sensor (5) operating through a slave device (6) driving a pneumatic jack (4). Above the pile of sheets are a series of suckers (8) attached by supports (10) to a slide (9) which can be displaced vertically and horizontally enabling the top sheet (1) to be picked up and removed. The suckers are manoeuvred in cooperation with a hard bristled brush (13) rotating about an axis (14) which is placed slightly above the level of the top sheet. A jet (15) of ionised air is also directed at the top of the pile, the ionisation overcoming any static electricity which might hold two sheets together.</p> |
