The axial length of the paraboloid is so chosen that its centre of gravity falls at the focus. The axis of rotation is at right angles to the axis of the paraboloid. The reflector is made of externally stiffened thermoplastic with a reflective coating. A high ratio of reflective surface to the load on the axis of rotation is obtd.
