The design of the large scale integrated circuitry is intended to provide an economic and compact system for accurate exposure control in a single lens reflex camera. The circuitry compensates for ambient temperature fluctuations and changes in battery voltage and makes provision for manual selection of various exposure parameters. A luminescent exposure value indicator is incorporated as well as control facilities using electronic flash illumination. The circuit stages consist of amplifiers, a logarithmic compressor and a correction stage for analogue signals which are then converted into digital pulses. These are stored, counted and processed in logic stages to provide the timing and indicator signals. The shutter is operated electromagnetically.
