Bulkhead fitting securing electrical cable braiding mechanically and electrically. The braiding is trapped at two points within the fitting without increasing the overall geometry of such fittings. The braid is pushed over the tapered rim (13) or a male ferrule (11). The taper leads to a parallel section (16) and a tapered shoulder (17). A short female ferrule (12) having two parallel sections of different diameters connected by a conical section (10) fits over the male section such that the braid is trapped between the parallel section of the male ferrule and the smaller diameter section (7) of the female. The braid is further trapped between the male shoulder and the greater female diameter inner surface (6).
