The connector consists of two plug boards in metal housings of an appliance. Cables running to the plug boards are provided with a screen connected to the plug board housing. Screening surface of the housing (1, 2) surrounding the first plug board has a number of projecting parts forming a plane contact surface (12, 13). They make contact with the appliance housing wall (10) surface. A number of contact springs (14, 15) is provided on the housing wall (10), which connect the wall (10) with the non-projecting parts of the front surface of the plug housing (1, 2). The plug is in its inserted position screwed (16, 17) to the housing wall (10).
