The hinge joint, which can be locked, in various positions, is attached to the ladder upright of a multi-purpose collapsible folding ladder, and comprises two swivelling parts, one with a locking disc plate with peripheral cutouts for engagement by the other part which has a spring-loaded lengthways displaceable locking piece, raised from the cutout as required by a T-shaped release lever. There is also a spring-loaded, cam-controlled retaining lever to lock the two parts automatically. Here the actuating lever (12) on the release lever is folded onto the ladder upright for the second hinge part (1), with a locking-element (6) notched into a cutout (5)release lever (10) can be locked by the retaining lever (14) in a position where the activating lever is swung away from this ladder upright element. |
