The contact has a slot with a wider insertion part. The main part of the slot has sharp edges, and its width is smaller than the dia. of the metal core of the wire, so that when the wire is inserted into the slot its insulation is cut through and contact is made with the contact element. A clamp is placed on the contact. The contact (1) consists of one single stationary metal leaf spring (1e) with two arms, and the clamp consists of a plastic sleeve (2) pushed on the contact and provided with a hole (2a) for the wire, inclined w.r.t. the spring plane.
