PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-repelling polyamide fiber structure excellent in washing resistance by immersing a polyamide fiber structure in a treating solution containing a specific sulfonated phenol-formaldehyde low condensate and a urea resin and subsequently imparting a specific fluorinated acrylic copolymer and an aminoplast resin to the treated fiber structure. SOLUTION: This method for producing a water-repelling fiber comprises immersing a 6-nylon Oxford woven fabric in a 2-6pH treating solution containing a urea resin and a sulfonated phenol-formaldehyde low condensate having a structure of formula I [(n) is 1-5; X is a group of formula II, etc.; Y is a group of formula III, etc.] or formula IV (Z is a group of formula V, etc.) to adhere 0.05-6wt.% of the solid contents to the woven fabric, imparting a mixture solution containing a polyfluoroalky group-containing acrylic copolymer, an aminoplast resin and a multifunctional block isocyanate-containing urethane resin to the treated nylon woven fabric, and subsequently thermally treating the treated nylon woven fabric. |
