<p>An electric convection heater is designed for a railway coach with a central passageway. A rectangular casing (11) has louvres top and bottom (5) for entry and discharge of air, and the heating elements (7) are mounted under a deflector (8) behind the lower louvres. This deflector is of inverted U-shape, and is open at its ends (9, 10). At the centre of the deflector is a line of slots (11) through the curved part (8c) of the U-section. The heating elements are positioned alongside the vertical sides of the U-section, above the bottom edges (8a, 8b) and below the curved region.</p> |
