1483960 Transparent polyolefin compositions EC CHEMICAL IND CO Ltd and C ITOH & CO Ltd 15 Aug 1975 [16 Aug 1974] 34073/75 Heading C3P A polyolefin plastics composition of improved transparency and reduced moulding shrinkage consists essentially of at least one polymer or copolymer of an aliphatic mono-olefin and dibenzylidene sorbitol in a proportion of 0À1 to 0À7% by weight based on the total weight of the composition. The polymer is preferably polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene-propylene copolymer or poly(methyl pentene). A plasticizer, e.g. dioctyl phthalate, dibutyl phthalate, dibutyl stearate and dioctyl adipate may additionally be included. |
