<p>1475922 Screening apparatus BAUER BROS CO 24 May 1974 [9 Oct 1973] 46982/76 Divided out of 1475921 Heading BID The apparatus is as described in Specification 1475921, but claims are directed to the head box 46 which has a lower inlet 48, two parallel side walls 12, (14), a rear wall 18 and a,front wall 32, which converges towards wall 18 upwards to a narrow portion of the box to make the slurry accelerate, then curves outwards at 41 to an overflow lip 42 which engages the upper edge of screen 52. This structure ensures a smooth flow from the box 46 on to the screen. A removable plug 50 allows the box to be drained.</p> |
