Equipment is for earthing and short-circuiting the phase-bars of the switching cells of electrical plant having contact section points at the phase-bars and a conductive earthing spoke to which an insulated actuating rod can be applied, is proposed. The actuating rod can be fixed onto the earthing spike in the axial direction of the latter and perpendicular to the spike, more specif. via a swivelling bayonet rod arranged in the centre of the earthing spike and capable of being rotated through 90 deg. The contact section points have specif. round orifices with laterally constricted apertures and the earthing spike is provided with liners such that the diam. of the earthing spike matches the dia. of the constricted apertures of the contact section points, and the liners match the cross-sectional dia of the round orifices.
