<p>A thermoplastics, hollow, extruded, profile is laminated with a film, on more than one of its outer surfaces, by applying the one-piece film onto a plane surface of the preformed profile which bears against abutments of the extruder nozzle and has at least >=1 sidewall extension forming an additional wall portion; bending the so-covered, protruding extension of the wall portion; and connecting the same with a sidewall of the profile. Used for film-laminating hollow extrusions such as plastics window-frames, doors, partitions, balcony claddings and the like. The hollow profile is completely enclosed in the covering film for effective protection against atmospheric corrosion.</p> |
