<p>Method of horticultural protection plants during maturation thereof whereby there is an interchange of oxygen, carbon dioxide and moisture between the area surrounding the plants and the ambient atmos., comprises placing a resiliently deformable perforate web over the ground having seeds or seedlings therein, securing the edges of the web, and allowing the plant to mature beneath the web, the perforations expanding to increase the interchange with the ambient atmosphere as the plant foliage expands the web. Web may be of polyethylene and PVC. The web will allow sufficient irrigation without soil erosion and automatically adjusts the carbon dioxide, oxygen, and moisture according to need. The plants can remain under the web during maturation.</p> |
