Large rubbish hopper with compression plate - which is coupled to intermediate floor dividing loading chamber on forward stroke

Hopper has bottom, sides and top, together with a built in compression plate driven by hydraulic rams with loading opening at one end and a discharge flap at the other. There is a partition at the top between the sides forming a loading chamber connected via an opening at the bottom to the main chamber, and open to the top. The compression mechanism works in the bottom opening, and also transfers the rubbish from the loading to the main chamber. The compression plate (8) works in horizontal guide rails, and is coupled to an intermediate floor (18) extending and retracting as it moves forwards and backwards. On the forward movement, the floor devides the loading chamber (16) into two parts (19, 20). The compression and transfer operation takes place in the lower part, while the upper one remains available for the loading of further rubbish.
