Insects and fungi are controlled by application of >=1 cyclohexadiene deriv. of formula (I) to a locus affected by insects or fungi: (where R1 is 1-6C alkyl; R2 is Cl, OH, 1-6C alkyl, 1-6C alkoxy or -OCOR3; R3 is 1-6C alkyl; and X1 and X2 are Cl or Br when R1 is 1-6C alkyl and R2 is Cl, OH, 1-6C alkoxy or -OCOR3, or X1 and X2 are both Cl or both Br when R1 and R2 are both 1-6C alkyl), e.g. 2,6-dibromo-4-methoxy-4-methyl-2,5-cyclohexadienone, together with diluents which are compatible with (I) and which are suitable for use in such compsns. |
