The amplitude lopper circuit uses a bridge of four diodes (X21-4) so terminated that current flow circulates ring-like around it. A bias voltage is applied to two diagonally opposite terminals (c,d). The secondary coil of a symmetrical repeater (T1) is connected to the two remaining terminals (a,b). The primary coil receives the oscillation to be lapped. - A centre tap on the secondary coil forms a connection (2) for the circuit output. The output lies between this connection (2) and one of the bias voltage connections. The common connection for the bias voltage and the output voltage can be at earth potential.
