An air filter comprises a convential bag house contg. inwardly-fed, downwardly-opening bags fixed a lower portion and tensioned by a cap supported from the rest of the bag house; a second bag is placed within the first and depends from the cap, while the lower end of the bag, which opens upwardly, is restrained from horizontal movement but free to move axially. Stiffening rings may be attached to both tubes. Approx. 150% increase in capacity is achieved without increasing the bag house size or unduly modifying the bags.
