Heating pipe (10) ducts (9) are formed into the floor finish layer (4), and heating pipes (10) are laid into these. At least in the area of curves the pipes run in the duct in such a way as to leave room for lateral play. The ducts may be covered at the top by a rigid coating, such as a plasterboard panel, pref. with a top damp-proof layer (3q) and an additional floor finish layer (6), applied in a moist condition, the two finish layers being of the same thickness, and if desired of the same material, e.g. cement or anhydrite. A heat-insulating layer (2), with a damp-proof sheath or foil (3) may be provided below a finish layer which carries the ducts.
