The metal space-retainer is used for formwork panels in wall concreting work. It incorporates a horizontal piece fitting against the top or bottom panel edges and passing through the wall being erected. To prevent cold bridge formation accross the concrete walls the entire spacer is provided with a heat-insulating coating (4), pref. made of synthetic resin material. In production, the metal part of the spacer can be electrostatically charged, given a coating of flakes or dust particles of the material providing the heat-insulating effect. The coating is then burned in, and adheres well and can withstand considerable mechanical stressing. The metal core provides the requisite rigidity, but has the same insulating quality as one made entirely of heat-insulating material.
|
