1498567 Display devices ETABS CARPANO & PONS 21 July 1976 [29 July 1975] 30384/76 Heading G5C [Also in Division B8M] In a winding display panel, the end of a flexible band 8, e.g. of paper, is secured to a winding support, as at 6, by a flexible tab 10 which at one end 9 is connected e.g. adhesively, to the support and at the other end 11 provides a flat pocket 13, into an open end 14 and between the superimposed faces of which the end 15 of band 8 is inserted and retained. The tab may be of plastic material or a fabric and the pocket 13 permits only slight lateral play of the band therein. The pocket may be openended or completely closed at one end and the opening may be only of sufficient width as to permit entry of the band end; it may be notched or inclined symmetrically or asymmetrically and the edges at the end or of longitudinal slot(s) in one face may be contiguous, overlapping or spaced apart, Figs. 3-8 (not shown). Holes, as at 20, or orifices in the face(s) of the pocket facilitate escape of air during winding. |
