Magnetically driven centrifugal pump has at least one driven magnet (1) on the impeller shaft (5) and at least one driving magnet (2) on the drive shaft (7), the magnets (1,2) being separated and independent from one another. The driven magnet (1) is in the form of a disc at one end of the impeller shaft which carries the impeller (6) at the other end, and is arranged in a magnet housing (3) which is liquid-tight and separate from the pump chamber (8). There are at least two annular driving magnets (2) which are arranged sandwich-fashion on either side of the driven magnet (1) and are joined at their periphery by a plate (4) so as to produce an effective torque on the impeller.
