<p>1479760 Dumbbell K INOUE 10 Dec 1974 [2 Aug 1974] 53439/74 Heading A6M A dumbbell (Fig. 1) comprises a central portion 12 having two screw threaded shafts 15 projecting one from each end thereof, a weight secured to each shaft, each weight comprising sections A, B, C having internally screw-threaded bores and a grip promoting unit comprising a leaf spring 18 and fingergrip portion 19 made of synthetic resin. The weight sections A B C may be retained by a nut 17 or alternatively the end sections C may each be provided with a screw-threaded blind bore (Fig. 4). The leaf spring may be bent (Fig. 1) or straight (Fig. 4) or it may be replaced by a coil spring interposed between the central portion and a finger-grip portion.</p> |
