<p>1415289 Coated wire DYNAMIT NOBEL LTD 26 Feb 1974 [1 March 1972] 8711/74 Heading B2E [Also in Division C3] Copper wire is coated either with a solution of a polyester or with the polyester melt wherein the polyester is prepared by reacting dimethyl terephthalate, tris(hydroxyethyl)isocyanurate and another polyol in the presence of from 0.3 to 1.5% by weight, based on the weight of all the monomers, of an alcoholate of Ti, V or Zr, and esterifying the product with an anhydride of a polyboric aromatic carboxylic acid containing three or more carboxyl groups, stopping the esterification by adding a diprimary amine and polycondensing the esterification product and the diamine to give the polyester. The examples describe reacting dimethyl terephthalate, ethylene glycol, tris(hydroxyethyl)isocyanurate, trimellitic and anhydride and 4, 4'-diaminoliphenyl methane in the presence of tetra-n-butyl titanate, vanadyl tri-nbutylate or tetra-n-butyl zirconate.</p> |
