<p>The decorative hanger plate is a coin sized metal plate pref. circular with a hardness from 20 to 45 kp/mm2 HB. The plate can be used as a hanger fitted to a neck chain, a watch strap, or a key ring etc. to carry the name of the carrier or his blood group or address. The metal plate is made of fine silver, or soft copper or pewter to a thickness of about 0.7 mm. This metal can be written upon by means of a normal ball point pen. The pen ball forces into the metal leaving a groove which appears to be deepend by the displaced metal which builds up at the side. this allows the information to be engraved on to the plate without the use of special tools, possibly in the users or donors own handwriting.</p> |
