<p>1477994 Flame resistant polycarbonate moulding compositions BAYER AG 27 Jan 1976 [28 Jan 1975] 03082/76 Heading C3R A thermoplastic moulding composition comprises (a) an aromatic polycarbonate and (b) 0À5 to 50% by weight, based on the weight of (a) + (b), of a polyphenylene sulphide. The preferred polyphenylene sulphide is poly-1,4-phenylene sulphide with unsubstituted phenylene groups having a glass transition temperature between 85‹ and 95‹ C. The polycarbonates used in the examples are derived from bisphenol A, 70 mol per cent bisphenol A and 30 mol per cent 2,2-bis-(3,5-dimethyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propane and 95 mol per cent bisphenol A and 5 mol per cent tetrabromobisphenol A. The compositions may contain glass fibres.</p> |
