Flat cable coloured enamel coatings on conductors - act as colour code and are protected by transparent insulation

The flat cable has its conductors coated with coloured enamel, which acts as colour coding, and embedded parallel to one another in transparent insulating material (1) that allows the coding to be seen. The advantage of this method of colour coding lies in not increasing the thickness of the cable and in the coloured enamel being protected from possible damage by being covered by the insulating material. The colouring need only be present on one side of the conductors.
