The nail &c. cartridge described in Specification 1,100,369, is modified in that the inwardly projecting partition portions 50, 52, are staggered instead of being directly opposed. Tongues 60 may be provided on one partition of the shell, the tongues engaging a slot 62 in the flange 34 of the other portion to retain the nails before use. In use, the tongues are withdrawn and serve to constrain and guide the outgoing nail strip. The flange 34 may have a recess 56 to facilitate exit of the nail heads. |
