Salt or sand increases the grip on icy traffic areas. The device serves for distributing such materials. The material distributor of the device has at least two rotating distributor plates (6, 6') arranged one above another, with outwardly directed throwing rails (4, 5). The distributor plate (6) mounted at the top has in each case a smaller diameter than the plate (6') mounted below it. The distributor plates (6, 6') are covered by a hood (1). The material slides from the fall-in shaft (11) onto the uppermost distributor plate (6). By means of the rotation of the distributor plates (6, 6'), a part of the material is thrown out laterally. A further part is diverted by a deflection plate (7) onto the lower lying distributor plate (6'), from where it is thrown over a larger radius. The throwing effect can be increased by a central opening in the lower distributor plate (6'), which causes a draught (13) on rotation of the plates (6, 6'). The material can be moistened, in order e.g. to increase its adhesive strength, by spray liquid (8) from spray nozzles (3). <IMAGE> |
