The indicator monitors the presence of calcium deposits in the flow heating chamber of a coffee-making machine as in 2505789. The water level indicator includes a sensor for the level of the water in the cold water container. This sensor switches the switch linked to the indicating device when a given water level is reached. The sensor consists of a float carrying a permanent magnet and acting on reed contacts. The float is located in a housing with holes to admit the water.
