The flexible teat is for a baby's bottle, having an anchoring portion fitting onto the bottle and a spherical end portion attached to this. The outlet opening (11a) in the end portion is of elongated oval shape. the ratio between its length and breadth can be roughly 3.6:1, and there can be a mark on the side of the teat indicating the position of the opening. The design allows accurate variation of the feeding speed without the danger of tearing at the opening.
