Self loading container lorry - with tipping surface and lifting arm on slider at end of inlined surface

The self loading container lorry has a load surface which tips about a rear axis. A slider moves up and down the inclined surface and carries hydraulically operated lifting arms to lift and drop the container off the end of lorry. The slider and arms are more versatile than a winch in that they can lift and slide the container. Also, the difficult operation of moving the end of the container between the ground and the load surface is simpler with the hinged arms. By having a slider the length of the arms can be kept to a minimum thus reducing their weight.
