Rotating disc-shaped brush of the carpet shampoo machine is made up of a rotating part (10) and a fixed part (11) which is mounted inside the machine to form a trough-like housing for the foam liquid and the generation of dry foam. The dry foam emerges through the openings (27) and slides along the inside of the wall (15) to the carpet. This dry foam is produced during operation by the beating of the foam liquid between the circulating ribs (17) and the fixed bristles (26) of the brush, these radially attached upright ribs (17) are normally mounted on the rotating part of the brush. Since only dry foam is produced there is no danger of too much liquid overwetting the carpet, especially as the foam itself is produced inside the brush without the aid of any other external components.
