The fishing rod holder (1) consists of a hollow support (4) which takes the handle (26) of the rod (25). The support (4) is pivot-mounted on a horizontal axle (20) in a fork (2) which forms the top of an adjustable ground peg (3). A tension spring (6) is suspended from a strip (5) on one end of the support (4). - The other end of the spring (6) is joined to the ground-peg (3) by means of a strip (7). On top of the support (4) is a bracket (8) in which is mounted a roller (9) and a release-lever (10). The pivot movement of the lever (10) is limited by a hole (12) and stop-piece (13).
