Electrostatic precipitator with sputtering electrodes - has alternate discharge circuits using HT winding of transformer rectifier with counter switched valves

The electrostatic precipitator has two electrode gaps (6, 7) each formed by a collecting electrode (10, 11) and a sputtering electrode (8, 9). A transformer rectifier (1) has its HT-winding (2) connected to the sputtering electrodes. Connected in parallel with this winding are counter-switched valves (3, 4) of which the centre (5) is electrically connected to the collecting electrodes. The HT winding is connected to the sputtering electrodes via linear electrical elements (12, 13). For each of the electrode gaps a discharge circuit is formed alternately via the Ht winding of the transformer and the other electrode gap. Pref. the centre of the valve member is connected to the collecting electrodes via an induction coil.
