PURPOSE:To accelerate a heterogeneous catalytic reaction by irradiating ultrasonic waves on the reaction system to vibrate the reaction system. CONSTITUTION:Quadricyclene is converted into norbornadiene by isomerization in the presence of palladium asbestos as a catalyst. Ultrasonic waves of 100V are irradiated on the reaction system of such a heterogeneous catalytic reaction from a commercially available ultrasonic generator for about 7hr to vibrate the reaction system. By the vibration, conversion is accelerated and the rate of conversion is increased. |
