<p>New water-soluble triazo dyes have formula (I) (where each X is the same and is OH or NH2; A is a monovalent aliphatic, aromatic or heterocyclic radical devoid of free amino gps. and B is an aromatic gp. contg. sulphonic acid gp(s)). Pref. gp. A is 3-sulpho-N-acetoacetyl aniline and X is OH. Cpds. (I) is as dyes of high stability partic. against acids. Used for colouring animal fibres e.g. wool, silk and leather and polyamides. They give brown shades resistant to washing, dry-cleaning, friction, light and sweat.</p> |
